This is a strange book, it's told mostly through emails and messages and we read about the events of a small community before and right after a murder is committed. Throughout the story we also see glimpses of two young investigators that read the content with us and need to figure out who is the murderer.
The format is interesting and strangely it was quite addictive and very easy to fly through, because of the way it is formatted it feels shorter than it actually is and I got quite intrigued by all the little dramas. It was also a bit funny in some places, not in a over the top way but just some situations or phrases that made me laugh.
Towards the end it gets a bit slower as we read more of the theories of the investigators and that was a bit overexplained considering that we read all the proof with them but in the end it was nice and the ending made sense (even though maybe a little underwhelming, I would have preferred some more twists).
Overall I had a lot of fun reading this and I think it makes a perfect fast book, especially fitting to be a palate cleanser between heavier books (which was exactly what I needed).
