Runes of Truth by G. Bailey

4.0

Runes of Truth was pretty good for a reverse harem. I feel like it's been ages since I dove into one of those books. Even though it was highly predictable it did end up being a nice, quick, and easy read. Especially with the week I had - I definitely needed this.

Evie is a pretty awesome character and easy to like. Whether she's rocking her blue hair or being stronger than the guys.. she was just different and again, likeable. She also doesn't take shit from anyone and I absolutely loved this. She had a damn back bone which is kind of rare for main characters.

Now even though this book was beyond predictable.. the ending was kind of underwhelming. I feel like the author was like.. meh, the end. Then I'm left sitting here wondering if there's a secret chapter hidden within the book or something. Which made me think of cliffhangers and how I hate them so much. I will definitely be diving into the next book whenever I get my hands on it.

Overall, it was an entertaining book that had action, swoon-worthy guys, danger, and secrets. I feel like there were so many secrets to keep track of that I just ended up going with the flow because my brain couldn't compute anymore. Again, it was probably due to work frying my brain but oh well. I liked all of the characters so much. I would say love.. but I can't pick a favorite... yet.
