The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey

4.0

To be completely honest, this genre of book isn’t my cup of tea. So my review is probably biased because of that. And with every chapter things got more and more hopeless and depressing, so it got harder to stick with. There is lots of trauma, death, action, and some really soft romance. A “good” ending seemed impossible, so why keep reading? Well, I still think the characters were well written and the storyline compelling enough to know “so then what happens??” The young girl narrator was the narration I enjoyed most out of the several narration perspectives in the book. I was hooked in the last couple hours of the audiobook. I spent so much of the audiobook saying I wouldn’t continue with the series, but after reading the end, I’m really tempted to get the next in the series.
