Crocodile Tears by Anthony Horowitz

I enjoyed the story - far-fetched, but that's to be expected - you are already suspending disbelief to imagine MI6 employing a 14 year-old! I did wonder why in the chapter Invisible Man the journalist Bulman was trying to take out dollars from a bank machine, instead of pounds, and why when his car was stolen he called 911, which is the emergency number in North America, but not Britain, where it is 999. Was this changed for the U.S. edition? Also, this is probably nit-picking, but in the chapter A Short Flight to Nowhere, Alex looks up and sees "a family of gray monkeys leaping from the branches of a juniper tree, using their hands and tails." Although not explicitly stated, this implies the tails are prehensile - only South American monkeys have prehensile tails, African monkeys do not.
