Ik vond het een moeilijk en triestig boek. Ook al wist ik dat het verhaal ging over personages met issues had ik niet gedacht dat het zo deprimerend ging zijn. De setting van de scenes vond ik ook een beetje saai op den duur. Op het einde komt er dan heel erg kort nog een wrede plot. De band tussen Harriet en haar vader was een klein lichtpuntje.

I thought it was a difficult and sad book. Even though I knew the story was about characters with issues, I didn't think it would be so depressing. I also found the setting of the scenes a bit boring in the long run. At the end there is a very short cruel plot. The bond between Harriet and her father was a small bright spot.
