Another great story by Abby Jimenez.
Daniel and Alexis grow up in two completely different environments and around different people. Alexis is supposed to become the next in line at the great hospital that’s been ‘her family’s’ for 125 years, Daniel lives in a small town, Wakan. The town is tight knit and everyone cares for each other.
When they meet, they… drumroll… end up falling in love. Impossible love. Neither of them can move away. Alexis goes over to Wakan as often as she can, while trying to also get the house she’s living in (where her abusive ex also lives..).
In the end they do of course find a way: Alexis opens a clinic in Wakan. Alls well that ends well.
