The Dark Secret by Tui T. Sutherland
4.0

Somehow, this book went by faster than all of the others. The plot was very exciting, and I enjoyed Starflight as a narrator more than I thought I would. Like Clay, it was endearing that he had so many positive thoughts about the other dragonets, and his crush on Sunny finally struck me as cute. (Up until now, I've accepted it as an unfortunate reality that most of the characters are going to get love interests, and Sunny and Starflight seemed like the obligatory main characters being pushed together. Somehow, hearing things from Starflight's POV convinced me that this pairing isn't being shoehorned into the story, and I hope that'll hold true for Sunny's POV novel next!)

Also, shout-out to Fatespeaker. She is lovely and sweet and slightly more nuanced than the other alternate dragonets of destiny (who all intrigue me very much). She's gotten the most screen time of her group, and my greatest fear is that she will be forced into a love triangle with Starflight and Sunny. I would accept this only if it's Sunny that both Starflight and Fatespeaker have a crush on, in which case, Sunny has more than one hand. Just please, do not give me more female characters who are antagonistic towards each other and feel the need to compete, especially if it's all because of a male character.
