The Amazing Spider-Man: The Fantastic Spider-Man by Dan Slott

3.0

Spider-Man in a different context. He's sort of grown into his own, but when he becomes a member of the Future Foundation (formerly the Fantastic Four), he's back to being a sort of junior superhero.

It's a really good fit, it turns out. Between his nerding out with Reed Richards and the natural way Spider-Man and Thing can pick on each other, it's kind of a natural.

Somewhat weaker was Spider-Man's stint as a substitute teacher at Avengers Academy. It was a great idea, and it started going somewhere fun with Spider-Man being the example of what NOT to do in almost every scenario. But it just sort of ends. And then we have that cheesy, "Actually, you weren't so bad, Spidey" where all the students chime in at the end.

Also, a Ghost Rider story that, without knowing any of this for a fact, I know for a fact was crammed in just to promote the Ghost Rider series.
