At first this book wasn't really what I expected. I was hoping to read about the murder that is currently going on, yet we're following these two individuals (the his and hers) wayyy into their past. I know that all of it must've tied with the crime, but I was so not interested. I didn't care about any of the characters. They're all so unlikable and I don't wanna know more about them. So it took quite long for me to read the first 60%, but after that, the pace picked up and the actions are happening. I really enjoyed that part. It wasn't perfect but it was so tense and entertaining. If it weren't for that part, I probably would've give this book 2-3 stars.
I had several guesses of who did it, and one of my guesses is right. So the very end did not surprised me as much. But there are several things that I still have questions about, but in a good way because it means the author didn't really blatantly explain every single thing, which I like.
