The Blood That Binds Us by Erin Mainord

2.0

The book starts off strong. Fighting your inner demons, literally. But it gets so annoying half way though.

**Spoilers

The "banter" between them is stupid. I didn't feel an once of kicking, giggling and smiling at the pages you should get. One minute they are angry and yelling insults the next im wondering how we got to them flirting and professing love.

And the fact that you make the FMC this badass witch and she's just a pawn annoys me so much. You want to make a badass woman lead, make her that! Why are we always making them fall for love like it's everyone's downfall? She has the power to read people and she shuts it off??? What are we doing...

The magic aspect is weird. We get high using magic? Needing to have sex to come down?

This book fell flat for me but had to power through just to see if the ending is exactly how you can predict in the beginning, which it is.
