To be honest, I didn't expect to like this book. It's been on my to-read list and on a whim I picked it up on my weekly trip to the library. First, I hated the bookcover. And the blurb from the book on the back. But I remembered that it's on my list for a reason. Then I almost returned it without reading it.
I am so glad I read it. I am always a little partial to books that involve mental illness and as I got into the story, the more and more I liked Francesca. It's hard sometimes to be an adult and attempt to put yourself back into the shoes of a teenager in the midst of a personality crisis. I enjoyed the whole set of characters enough that I picked up [b:The Piper's Son|7417780|The Piper's Son|Melina Marchetta|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1261824018s/7417780.jpg|9362085].
