Longlisted for the Women's Prize for Fiction 2020 'How We Disappeared' is a must read! Educational and evocative, this novel explore two timelines and two life-changing secrets.

Harrowing but honest, the prose made me feel like I was being confided in. Authors and victims are not obligated to share their deeply personal history and experiences. But we as readers and as humans are obligated to listen.

"Sometimes all you had to do to get someone to talk was to be silent."
