Blessed by the Maiden
by Demi Clorissa
I RECIEVED THIS NOVEL AS AN ARC IN EXCHANGE FOR MY HONEST REVIEW:
This debut novel will have you yelling at the page - in frustration, in humour, in giddiness.
While our main character Aereen can be a little unlikeable at times (making decisions and saying things we as the reader wish she wouldn’t), ultimately her strength in herself shines through.
This novel has:
✨ Fated Mates
✨ Forced Proximity
✨ Magic
✨ an enemies-to-lovers element
✨ soft love triangle
✨ “who did this to you”
The first 20% of the book is a little difficult, the writing maybe slightly unrefined but as the story picks up so does the quality/intensity. It’s almost like the story sweeps you away and even when you work out something that’s going to happen - the moment still gets you.
Now if only Aereen could just stop messing up a good thing when it’s right in front of her… IYKYK.
