While it’s sad to see this trilogy end, I was excited to see how things ended from the second book. The lore to this series and the world created is honestly so cool. It’s like walking into an old gothic mansion with shadows in every corner but the dark and gloomy atmosphere is somehow comforting.
The characters bring the light into this book. The relationship development is wonderful, there is heartbreak, healing, and love all throughout. There is also a lot of spice, which felt a lot more loving in this book. The characters mainly Teal and Éric had a lot of things to work through but they found such great comfort with each other; their spicy moments were a bit more endearing and heartfelt in this book compared to the last; it showed so well how far their relationship had progressed and how they became each other’s comfort person.
And of course, I loved seeing more of Moth, he’s still my favorite character so I was happy when he made a few appearances. Overall, I highly recommend this book for anyone looking for a dark academia-like atmosphere with gay vampires, high spice, and well rounded characters.
A big thank you to the authors for this eARC in exchange for an honest review.
