The Broker by John Grisham

3.0

This was a dependable Grisham novel. A few of his novels have kept me up reading until 2 a.m., this wasn't one, at least not for me. It did capture my attention, though. I had mixed feels about the ending.

The last Grisham book I read was The Client, which was far better than this one, The Broker. At the end of The Client, I felt as if I knew the main character intrinsically, and was full-heartedly routing for him. Not so with this one. Perhaps because the client was first-person, this was third-person. In this book, the main character was a rich man, and in The Client it was a young, poor, and innocent child.

Either way, if you enjoy Grisham books, I'd keep this on your list, but not at the top. :)
