angrywombat 's review for:
Elric of Melniboné
by Michael Moorcock
Ok. I totally see how this is a classic.
A decadent empire in its last years, a pair of cousins in conflict for the throne. Ancient sorceries, demons, elementals, gods of chaos. It's all here.
The book itself is a great little introduction to Elric, who is the only man in the empire with some sense of morals - and he's supposed to be their emperor!
This was a great, fast read, and now I need to find the rest of the books in the series!
