This was an enjoyable story and interesting and unique framework by having the Jo, a journalist for her high school be the main POV of the story. It was a bit predictable, but I don’t necessarily dislike stories due to that. However, there were parts that just felt under I communicated and weirdly tied up through out the book.
Specifically, Jo being so easily forgiving of Olivia after insinuating they were mortal enemies for years was a wild shift that didn’t feel very realistic for her character. Also just some of the thoughts and storylines felt a bit rushed <spoiler/>
I still deeply enjoyed all the characters, imperfections and all, and at the same time would have appreciated more time to know them and feel more connected with their characters.
