A great story... felt to me like a cross between Stand By Me, Lord of the Flies, Hatchet, and the Covid pandemic, all rolled into one. I thought for sure this was written post 2019, so I was very surprised to find out it'd been published in 2014.
Very descriptive and very gross. Audio was excellent! Characters were well-developed but weren't convincing as 14- & 15-year-olds, they came across as older to me.
Warning: Do NOT try to eat while reading this book!
