Maniac: The Bath School Disaster and the Birth of the Modern Mass Killer by Harold Schechter

challenging dark emotional informative reflective sad medium-paced

5.0

Well researched and well told story about an absolutely heinous part of history. It started a tad slow but built to a heart wrenching, jaw dropping, emotional read. There was a lot to learn and the way that it was told in short chapters aided in the ability to digest the information. The author also told of other cases and news stories happening in that same time frame or in comparison to this tragedy. The only downfall was the lack of photos. But I googled them in order to put accurate pictures in my head.
