The Glass House by Eve Chase

4.0

"The Glass House" follows 3 female narrators - Rita, Sylvie & Hera - both in the past and present and their hazy relationship to the property Foxcote Manor.

We are introduced to the circumstance that they have in common early on, but at first it just seems to show the main storyline from different perspectives. Gradually over the course of the story the mystery is unravelled and meshes together in a wonderful way.

The final twist in this tale was totally unexpected and I loved it. I did not see it coming at all and I really enjoyed how thinking back through the story you can see tell tale signs, but it never eludes to anything more than disapproval.

I would highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys Kate Morton!! Blending mystery, gothic settings and historical fiction over various timelines with beautiful descriptions that put you right in the heart of the story. Looking forward to see what else Eve Chase writes.
