How to High Tea with a Hyena (and Not Get Eaten) by Rachel Poliquin

5.0

As a big fan of [b:How to Promenade with a Python (and Not Get Eaten)|53370496|How to Promenade with a Python (and Not Get Eaten) (A Polite Predators Book)|Rachel Poliquin|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1589290779l/53370496._SX50_.jpg|82422887], I patiently (well, not too patiently) waited for this second book in the Polite Predators series. So here it is, and it's awesome as expected.

Since these books follow the same formula, the beginning of Hyena is pretty much a copy of Python, but don't let that scare you off: once the preliminaries are taken care of, things get just as unpredictable and adventurous as they did in the first book. I've never thought much about hyenas before, and I was quite impressed by all the things they can do. I don't want to spoil the ending, so I will only say that it took me by surprise.

I would recommend these books for kids 5 and up, maybe a little younger if a brave older sibling is around... things get a bit scary at times. But also so, so silly and funny. For kids who love to laugh while they learn (and don't we all!), this should be another winner.
