I firstly want to thank Asmita for reaching out to me and having the courage to trust a complete stranger with a review of her raw, powerful and personal work.

Somehow this book both challenged and comforted me - the discussion of 'Fact or Fiction' particularly struck a chord. I felt as if she had opened up my own mind and told me everything there was to know about myself.

There were certain parts that genuinely made me have to stop and pause and truly listen to the words I was reading.
"Let the heart indulge in its dreams wholeheartedly and choose without fear. Maybe that's when our choices will feel like home." - I honestly want to put that up on my wall or something.

The description in both the poetry and prose was beautiful, because let's be honest I don't really like the idea of being a flower, but if I was a flower that "[had] a life brimming with wild intensity", then call me a rose, tulip, peony, baby's breath - I don't care, I now want to be a flower and that's final.

Overall, reading this book gave me (and apparently my mind as well) a much needed break from the constant, over-stimulating world, while simultaneously reminding me to be kind to all the all the parts of myself I had neglected. A gentle wake-up call, if you will.

Thank you, Asmita for inviting us on this lovely journey of yours. I can't wait to read the next book!
