African Town by Charles Waters, Irene Latham

3.0

African Town told an interesting part of history that I never knew about. I appreciated learning it, but this book was long and I don't think it will hold teens' attention that long. A long list of characters made for complicated reading, too. I think it would be excellent for the classroom setting - teachers can explain and expand on the content. But I don't think that the average teen will love African Town. Content makes this most appropriate for high school students.
