It's nice having the entire story collected in one place. The story itself is interesting and so vast in scope. I'd never read anything concerning the Silver Surfer before. I enjoyed the interweaving of all the different Marvel characters.

A couple of notes on the volume itself. One, it's so heavy that it's really unwieldy. I couldn't hold it for more than a couple of minutes without it being physically painful. It was even uncomfortable to set it in my lap, because the weight would dig the edges into me. I ended up propping it on a pillow for most of the time I read it.

The second thins is my discontent with the way the extra issues are included. This is just a personal preference, but I would have liked the second half of the volume, the issues that weren't part of the Infinity Gauntlet run, to be interfiled where they belonged chronologically. There were pieces of the story that would have been nice to get in order, rather than reading them after and trying to place where they fit in the narrative. Particularly since the narrative is so extensive.
