This book isn’t the typical book I go for. It also felt like a cliche and gauntlet of how much trauma, grief, depression, pain can they pack into the book and one character endure. I did feel for the main character, it is tough to get through given how heavy the content was. I was expecting a depressing or melancholy ending and it really would not have been for me but it did become uplifting which was a saving grace. Kristin Hannah is a great writer I don’t know if her book are for me but for people who are fans of hers I totally get it
