WONDER WOMANIYA by Sohil Makwana, Sohil Makwana

3.0

As the title suggests the book shows us the power of women in every field as well as in everyday life. It uses humour to tell us the things we usually ignore or call “Social Drama”.
It will be very clear to you from the beginning itself how the author wants to bend your attention towards something useful in a very unique and different way. The one-liner from the character is something so great altogether.
The author has covered a very diverse range of the topics like – Socially, Entertainment, Politics and life etc. in a very few pages with some wonderful real-life examples.
As much as I loved the themes it talks about, the book somehow failed to grab my attention with the first impression. It was hard for me to stay focused because I wasn’t able to connect the chapters within themselves to a thread at the beginning of it.
There are dialogues in Hindi which makes it feel connectable a lot more (Because often – Humne bhi vo lines boli hai”) But it also restricts non Hindi readers to some extent. (Phir bhi I loved them so much) Samaj rahe ho na meri feelings.
