The Sheriffs of Savage Wells by Sarah M. Eden

4.0

The small, secluded town of Savage Wells needs a sheriff. Wearing a dress with a gun strapped to her hip, Paisley Bell is ready to take the job. She’s basically been doing all the sheriff’s duties since the last sheriff just up and left town. She can’t understand why the town council wants to bring other candidates in for the job. She’s proven she’s capable more than once!

Cade O’Brien wants a change from his rough life as a lawman. He’s tired of hunting and shooting bad guys. Being sheriff in a small, quiet town is just the job he needs to find peace after so many years.

Paisley and Cade butt heads immediately. Paisley is spunky and doesn’t back down from a challenge. Cade is a no-nonsense type man. Their banter was great and I love the way they teased each other. I loved how Cade always respected Paisley. He didn’t dismiss her from possibly being sheriff just because she was female.

The town of Savage Wells has so many great side characters too! When money goes missing from the local bank, Cade and Paisley have to work together and get the whole town involved to solve the mystery!

This is a clean romance.
