I’m super torn between 2,5 or 3 stars, because this is someone’s very personal story and way of coping with an abusive ex-partner, yet the writing was not as good as I hoped it would be. I loved some pieces a lot but most of it didn’t touch me at all, felt almost pretentious.
With an emotional topic like that you would expect the writing to be even more poetic, written in verse and not only in line breaks.
The book has 3 main parts / chapters and even the one about her new love turned into a chapter about her ex-partner again, which was kind of weird imho.
