In a way this is a collection of vignettes, quick snapshots of the interactions between a chiropodist and her clients.

A relationship that is seldom talked about, often taken for granted.

Oskamp shows the reader the ordinary challenges of life and aging, at the same time reminds us how remarkable it all is, all while making us laugh.
