RATING: 3 stars (2.75, bumped up because I'm not a teen or an unarmed idiot--so what the heck do I know).
REVIEW: Average or better YA zombie tale. Immature teens. No survival skills, little common sense. Sympathetic protagonist. Good ending.
BONUS POINTS FOR: Bites, deaths, a surprise or two, the ending. Some emotional passages.
DEMERITS FOR: 62% too much whining, almost no thinking... with predictable results.
It DID hold my attention, but mostly because I was rooting for all but 1 or 2 characters (not the protagonist, Sloane!) to perish horribly. So maybe that's a recommendation?
