What a book.
This book is an intense, emotional read, but I cannot recommend it enough. The insight and knowledge that this comprehensive account of one of the worst days in American history tells is astounding. To read the stories, the firsthand accounts of survivors, and to understand and memorialize the victims in this book is a special kind of experience.
I had to put this book down several times only because my emotions caused me to stop. This book is not for the faint of heart in terms of how heartbreaking it is, but my heart also filled as I read the stories of heroes who gave their lives to help others that day.
A must read. Truly. We shall never forget. I will never forget.
