Lessons in Corruption
by Giana Darling
And it started off with a bang…
This was my first book by Giana Darling and I picked it up because @chandlerainsley (my favourite ‘she-recommended-it-so-I-had-to-buy-it-culprit‘) uploaded a review about the Fallen Men series and I was immediately hooked.
Side note: If you haven’t checked out Chandler already, please do, she has excellent taste in books.
Lessons in Corruption has it all. The emotions, the suspense, the steam and the depth. I found myself devouring page after page and I had the best time reading it in almost one sitting. The story is captivating, fast-paced and extremely well written. It has some cringey moments, but I was able to forget them straight away and they didn’t bother me much. Even though there is a little age gap and the pairing is considered taboo, it didn’t feel that way. In my mind their chemistry and relationship made perfect sense without being forbidden or frowned upon.
