What the Living Do: Poems by Marie Howe

5.0

I met a retired English professor in line at Barnes and Noble and as we got talking she said Marie Howe's poetry changed her life and hoped I would give her a read at some point. These were beautiful. This collection was inspired by the death of Howe's brother due to the AIDs epidemic.

Feels gentle but is so, so fierce and just totally full of love.
