I loved this book, it was an unexpected 5-star read from me. the moment i picked it up, the narrator reminded me of Fleabg with her blunt and abrasive nature coupled with her deeply introspective sense of self. the author takes us through a very  ordinary woman's mundane life and yet I was enraptured the entire time. the narrator herself may not be the most friendly or likeable character but her perpetual struggle to be a good daughter and decent person endears the reader to her. i loved her delusional love for a man she never knew, her foray into a completely new career, the sudden delving into her family's past and her constant self-exploration that continues throughout the book. this is definitely one of my top reads and recommendations for the year
