That was too damn long. There are too many POVs. Too much descriptive language. There is too much internal dialogue that says the same thing over and over in just different words. There were while chapters that I skipped and a lot of chapters that I skimmed. The story is amazing. It's probably one of my favorite stories, but damn. There is too much heartache for no reward. They claim some if the POVs are the "ups" in this book, but they aren't. Once things started happening, 800 PAGES INTO THE STORY, I finally became invested. But it should NOT have taken that many pages for literally anything to happen. I had to read 2 palette cleansers while reading this book because it's all depressing. That's crazy. Will I continue the series? Yes. I've made it this far, but I am also dreading it.
