This is not my first book from Zara Black. This spell caster pulls you in, tears your heart apart then stitches is back together in an entirely new way…..and I mean that as a compliment! The description alone had me jumping head first & prepared to read this entire story in 1 night, sleep be damned! I felt like the overly opinionated but “where are we hiding the body” BFF of Johanna. I was ROOTING for this girl, anxiously waiting for her to SLAY like the Queen she is. Although I tried not to, I had had enough & started skim reading because I just HAD to know. Well, I almost threw my kindle across the room when I skipped to the end. I felt so disappointed for some reason even with a HEA, but again, this is Zara stomping all over m emotions…again! *sigh* But I am a glutton for punishment & will still pick up every book that she publishes lol I won’t say much more to avoid posting spoilers. Just read it :P.
