Honestly, I couldn’t even finish this book. I had 50 pages left but just couldn’t stand Powers’ writing anymore. I very rarely abandon books, so I probably would’ve stopped reading even earlier had it been more in my nature.

I couldn’t put my finger on why I disliked the book so much until I read this review and she described clearly my problems with the book:
