Gilly MacMillan has done it again! I absolutely loved To Tell You The Truth. I couldn't put this one down and completely devoured it! Gilly's writing style is so fluid and makes you feel like you are right there in the novel. This novel was kind of a dual timeline of present day and a book written in the past about the main characters life. I was engrossed in this novel from page one to the end, I needed to know what happened to Teddy and enjoyed all the twists and turns on the path to uncovering what happened the night he went missing! A must read full of lies, deception, suspense, and mystery!
Lucy was 9 when her brother disappeared one night when they had snuck out of the house. The case of Teddy's disappearance is still unsolved years later. Lucy spends her days as a writer, writing crime novels about a detective named Eliza. Lucy's husband Dan surprises her with buying a home by her childhood home where Teddy had gone missing. Lucy doesn't understand why he would do this because Dan is one of the only people that Lucy has told about that night. Shortly after the move Dan goes missing and turns up dead.
