Sarah, Plain and Tall by Patricia MacLachlan

Frankly, I'm not sure why this book has gotten such a great reputation. I'll admit its well written but not any better than the Little House series which it is very similar to in setting and plot line. Additionally it is so short I just wonder why the author didn't flesh out a more robust novel that might have interested me more. I'd still recommend this book to readers 8 and older and those interested in Pioneer living.
