This needed more development. The concept was promising, the characters were interesting, and the horror vibes were good but the plot meandered around in really confusing ways and I just kept getting so lost. A bombshell is dropped about 40% into the book and I thought it would bolster the murky beginning but it only clouds it more, head-hopping between Olivia and Sunflower in unnecessary and confusing ways. 

A bit disappointing but I'd be willing to try Piper's writing again.
