A Study in Scarlet Women
by Sherry Thomas
I'm kind of torn on this one. I like this version of Sherlock, and I like Watson, and I like the dynamic with the LI. This is an origin story, however, and that aspect felt really unnecessary. The main plot meandered, and I found myself skimming a bit, in part because I frankly didn't care about the 3 victims in the main mystery. It came together at the end, but it feels weird to say I liked this book when I probably skimmed a significant chunk of it. I'm up for reading the next one, however.
