Smug Bastard by Stacey Marie Brown
5.0

Another great addition to the Cocky Hero collection. But this one has become my top favorite. I loved each page turning moment of Smug Bastard. I loved the journey, the adventure and everything in between. Stacey did one amazing job with these two characters. Not only were the characters amazing but Stacey takes you on an adventure that you will remember long after reading the book. Kinsley just graduated from college and really doesn't know what to do with her life. So she decides to take an adventure cross country with her dog to go back home for her brother's wedding. Little does she know fate has something in store for her that will forever change her life. It is decided for her that she is getting a friend along for the ride. Smith (smug bastard) something that she has crushed on yet hated since she was 11. But she hasn't seen him in years.
Smith has had a rough go of things the past couple of years. He wants to make it to his best friend's wedding but his bike breaks down. So fate decides that Kinsley (baby K) is going to come to his rescue. But she does more than rescue him from a broke down bike.
The chemistry between these two was off the charts. I absolutely loved how easily these two could pick on each other after all the years being apart. How easy it was for them to pick up at least being somewhat friends with each other enough to travel. The risks these two take to see where the relationship between them will go, loved it. This was a page turning book from beginning to end. I loved each and every moment even when I wanted to punch Smith or throw my kindle. Highly recommend this one.
