Full disclosure: I LOVE anything that J. Lynn writes!!
I love that she wrote this realistic love story with characters that aren't completely broken by something tragic in their past. She manages to write man-whore characters that I cannot help but fall in love with a little bit, despite that exact fault. Kyler is well....
"Kyler...yeah, he put that 'oo' in swoon."
"I finally got it. Hell. I got it in that moment what had been so elusive to me the entire time. Sex, mattered--oh, holy shit, it mattered--when it was with a person who meant something."
Sydney was a bit insecure but honestly given their past history who wouldn't be?
"I was Kyler's best friend. And because of that, he would never love me the way I loved him."
Some of the lines in this book made me giggle and I love it when a couple are both hot and funny together.
"How much snow are they calling for?" "Somewhere between a lot and Holy Fuck!"
"The whole thing was about ten levels of awkward and a basement full of someone-kill-me-now."
I am also a fan of a book set in the winter, released in July!
Overall I would say that while this isn't a book that will haunt me for days or weeks it will be a book I will return to often just to get the warm fuzzies.
