I really enjoyed the character development in this. It was really satisfying to watch Sal figure things out and move forward. The way he and Vanessa moved through their relationship was great. Other than a novella, I haven't read a first POV from the male POV. I enjoyed that more than I thought I would. I liked how Sal took responsibility for the decisions he made and tried to remedy them. This was a great read.
