really didn’t like this book, entire book leads up to the end which was mediocre at best and didn’t meet my expectations at all and was just bad. the book is just two white boys being superhero’s - but they’re edgy so they’re actually sooo cool - and them just indirectly fighting each other, the side characters are also white and one of them is a tween girl who is basically being groomed by the main character. this book left no impression that it wasn’t a stand alone and when i found out i was surprised, if the first book was this crappy how bad is the second one, i decided to not read the sequel for exactly this reason and am better off for it. VE Schwab has been so hyped up on social media but her books are just so white and boring, i don’t know why so many people enjoy reading them.  the characters leave no impression and i couldn’t even remember what the plot was while i was reading it.
