I think I just really like the family and especially the mom. Looking back I think the first book was better and really set up the dynamic best. This one was interesting with the club and the idea of how the FMC finds confidence in her body and sexuality but I didn’t like the reconciliation - not a grand enough gesture to show growth from them both. Calder wasn’t it for me as MMC because he was the “middle child fuckup” and still kept hiding beneath his sexuality as a sort of charm. This one wasn’t for me.
