Rating this book is so weird, it is deeply upsetting. I have definitely read books that contain more graphic and vile things, but this book is much more depressing than that. It won’t make you feel bad for our narrator and you won’t feel attached to him. However, the feelings he goes through are so connected to reality that you find yourself reflecting on your own views and standing. I really liked it, but not for the story but for what the story does for the reader.
