This book is one hell of a whirlwind. With plenty of content that would make any sane reader raise their brow in concern, One Hundred Years of Solitude still manages to keep readers ensnared through beautiful prose and world building. The novel feels strangely historical and nostalgic in the way that it sidles up to reality without fully integrating with real world ideas.
