When Breath Becomes Air by Paul Kalanithi

3.0

*shrug* It was okay.
I didn't connect with this book.
The most profound part of this book was the epilogue that his wife, Lucy, wrote. It was terribly sad to read about Paul's passing and how he held his young daughter for the last time. I will say the book did inspire me to think about death. I think Paul did demystify death and admire how he faced death with grace. Toward the beginning of the book, the scenes about medical school and working in a hospital were not my cup of tea. The TV show "Scrubs" is the most hospital knowledge I have so I found a lot of the scenes to be graphic and unpleasant.
