I'm torn on this one, I wish Goodreads allowed half stars - 3.5/5 rounded up. The first half was so boring that I almost didn't finish the book, and was penning a review in my head basically stating it is a great book to lull you asleep. However, around the halfway point, it speeds up and become "unputdownable". The story made me *sad* and a little depressed, but it was a good story. Avoid if you don't like reading about children going through completely unfair things that are not their fault. Others will read it differently. Haunting.
Minor: Child abuse
